Information on electrical and electronic equipment
The following information is aimed at private end users who use electrical and/or electronic equipment.
- instructions for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and the meaning of the symbol in the Annex
In connection with the sale of batteries or with the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to draw your attention to the following:
You are legally obliged to return used batteries as an end user and to collect them separately from unsorted municipal waste. You can return batteries after use to us or to the designated collection points (e.g. municipal collection points or retail outlets) free of charge. You can also return the batteries to us by post. Please make sure that the postage is sufficient.
If you have old appliances with used batteries or used accumulators that are not enclosed by the old appliance, you must separate them from the appliance before handing them in at a collection point. This does not apply if the waste equipment is separated from other waste equipment by the public waste management authorities for the purpose of preparing it for re-use, in order to prepare it for re-use.
Batteries containing pollutants are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out wheeled bin and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for classification as a pollutant.
The symbol below – crossed-out wheeled bin – indicates that the waste equipment must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste:
- information on the possibility of returning old appliances:

If necessary, it is also possible to return electrical and electronic equipment for the purpose of reusing it. Further information on this can be obtained from the respective collection or recovery point.
Please contact us to find the appropriate possibilities for your countries to return and recycle your item.

Some of the waste equipment to be disposed of may contain sensitive personal data (e.g. on a PC or smartphone), which must not fall into the hands of third parties.
